For the past 15 years, Ric Perez has been a familiar face in the legal community through his work at Strategic Capital Corporation, where he provides post-settlement funding solutions to annuitants and attorneys seeking liquidity options for their clients. Throughout his career, Ric has built deep, enduring relationships with prominent legal professionals from across the country.

His journey to founding Paws For Justice began with a special companion – his beloved dog, Buddy. Years ago, Ric started bringing Buddy to legal conferences, and something magical happened. The charming corgipoo became an unexpected catalyst for connection, drawing people together and transforming routine business meetings into moments of genuine joy. Buddy's presence didn't just enhance Ric's marketing and business development efforts; he demonstrated the unique power animals have to bring out the best in people.

Though Buddy has since crossed the rainbow bridge, his spirit lives on in the hearts of Ric and his partner Adrian. When they opened their home to two new family members – Milo and Toby – Ric was inspired to create something meaningful that would honor Buddy's legacy. He recognized an opportunity to connect his extensive network in the legal community with a cause close to his heart: pet adoption.

Paws For Justice emerged from this vision, combining Ric's professional expertise with his deep commitment to animal welfare. By leveraging the relationships he's cultivated over his career, Ric has created a unique platform that brings together legal professionals and shelter pets, fostering connections that transform lives on both ends of the leash.
